Industrial waste management is facing the shortage of treatment capacity in our country. The Executive Yuan has approved the "Waste Management and Recycling Action Plan" in September 2022. It is expected to conduct a comprehensive inventory of problems, specific promotion strategies, and cross-border cooperate with ministries and committees to speed up the installation of treatment facilities and properly remove industrial waste. In line with the changes of the times and industries, in order to strengthen waste management and solve improper disposal, adjust the scope of industry of Article 2 of the "Waste Disposal Act" through review and evaluation. Plan related management strategies, assign responsibility to the source of producer and improve waste management. In response to the needs of industries and the promotion of resource recycling, the revision of "Standards for Defining Hazardous Industrial Waste" and "Methods and Facilities Standards for the Storage, Clearance and Disposal of Industrial Waste" was proposed to continuously improve industrial waste management and treatment efficiency. Key points of this project include: 1.Analyze the generation and clean-up of industrial waste, compile industrial waste problems and promotion strategies. Propose an analysis report on generation and treatment capacity of industrial waste. 2.Examine the management of industries under the abolition of "Waste Disposal Act", review the unregulated industries status through on-site visits and questionnaire surveys, and propose evaluation reports. 3.Investigate the industry's opinions on "Standards for Defining Hazardous Industrial Waste", "Methods and Facilities Standards for the Storage, Clearance and Disposal of Industrial Waste". Propose yearly revision based on promoting resource recycling and improving treatment efficiency. For flammable and reactive industrial waste, collect relevant judgment methods and practical tactics to reduce flammability and reactivity for reference. 4.To meet the needs of practice implementation, hold expert meetings, symposiums, and on-site visits to collect opinions, as a reference for the revision of regulations and management measures.
